About the Breed

Welcome to Battle Born Dobermans! We’re located in beautiful Henderson, NV, where we have plenty of space for our dogs to enjoy. As we all know, Doberman love to play, so we made sure we had the space available to let them get the exercise they need. Of course our Dobermans still live in the house with us; they’re part of the family!

Our specialty is breeding European Doberman, which is a breed we’ve owned for 8 years. During that time we’ve formed a strong bond with the breed, and it’s safe to say that Dobermans have long been our favorite dogs. We do everything possible to ensure our dogs have a happy and healthy life under our roof, and we always look for the same for our puppies.

We make a point of raising all of our Dobermans around every member of the family, but of course we always make sure they’re supervised. This means that we raise sociable, well-trained dogs that are suitable to be around people of all ages, and know how to form strong bonds with those around them. We encourage the same behavior with our puppies too, and do everything possible to socialize them from an early age.

Our goal is to breed Dobermans that are above all else happy and healthy, but are also ideal family pets and are of show standard. We do this by carefully monitoring our breeding stock and ensure all relevant and necessary screening is performed to test for genetic conditions. We’re completely transparent with this information; so don’t hesitate to ask if you have any questions. Monitoring our breeding stock so closely means that we have the best possible chance of healthy puppies, which is obviously the most important thing.

Similarly, we always do our best to stay in line with the current Doberman breed standards held by the AKC, with which all of our breeding stock is registered. This means we aim for males that stand between 26 and 28 inches in height, and females that stand between 24-26 inches. Our dogs are always the traditional black with rust markings, although it is possible to find fawn or blue dogs. Albino Dobermans also exist, but these are incredibly rare and we haven’t had one yet!

Once we’ve done everything possible to produce the best examples of what a Doberman should be, we then look for the perfect family to match them with. We pride ourselves on our rigorous vetting process (excuse the pun), and make sure that every home that adopts one of our Doberman puppies is suitable. For us, suitable means the dog will have plenty of room for playing, and a family that will give them plenty of attention. We’ll discuss everything with you in plenty of detail before we let you adopt one of our puppies, as it’s as big a commitment for us as it is for you.

We make sure every puppy is checked by a vet before it heads off to its new home, and we always make sure they’ve been microchipped too. We always like to keep track of our puppies whenever possible and love to stay in touch with owners so we can see how they’re getting on. After all, we have a special bond with every puppy we breed and need to make sure they’re getting the best in life.

We aim to breed around 2 litters a year. This obviously depends on available breeding stock and other factors, but don’t hesitate to get in touch and we can let you know when the next planned litter is. Make sure you act fast though because our puppies usually get reserved very quickly, and the waiting list is long! We’ll always be able to advise you how long you might need to wait, and also talk you through the process of adoption.

As you can probably tell, we have a great love for Dobermans, and we make sure we bring this love to every litter we breed, and every puppy we find a home for. This passion for the breed comes across in the quality of our puppies, and how happy our adults are. Just check out our Instagram for some pictures of how they’re getting along. Also don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or would like more information about our litters and when the next will be available. We look forward to hearing from you!
